Where can I find good Vietnamese recipes or tips on how to cook Vietnamese food?

I walked into a Vietnamese Supermarket today and was mind-boggled at all the crazy foods that I either had no idea what it was or I did know what it was- but didn't know was edible.



I'm not a fan of Americanized versions of these foods and was hoping to find some source that teaches how to use these unfamiliar ingrediants. I'd especially like to get some answers from someone who regularly shops at any of these Asian market type stores. I'd be fine with any other Oriental styles as well: Thai, Chinese, Korean, and maybe Japanese.Where can I find good Vietnamese recipes or tips on how to cook Vietnamese food?
It IS really mind boggling to walk into a totally different culture of food, isn't it? I am still trying to acquaint myself with a lot of Japanese foods. It started with sushi and has just kind of grown from there. I am definitely not an expert on Asian cuisine, but I understand your awe at all the foods out there that you didn't even know existed!

You just kind of have to dive in and start making things that appeal to you - and ask a lot of questions at the market. I think they get a bit of a kick out of the skinny caucasian girl that wants to make Japanese, but everyones been really helpful and haven't laughed too hard at me! lol!
i think the best way to go is eat at a actual vietnamese restaurant..ive also seen cookbooks in barnes and nobles.Where can I find good Vietnamese recipes or tips on how to cook Vietnamese food?
