I went to the Asian Market here in Hattiesburg not long ago and purchased this dried pork. Honestly, it reminds me of 1960s old carpet a dog shredded in my 1st apartment, lol.
Anyhoo, what are some yummy asian/japanese/thai recipes I can use this stuff in? Thanks to all! What can I use Kimbo Dried Cooked Pork in?
From your description, it sounds like a food which we eat as an accom-paniement to congee or rice porridge at breakfast. It is already cooked and isn't an ingredient in a dish. As kids we used to sneak it out of the dish (as we weren't supposed to eat it straight). I have seen some people spread it on bread with or without butter. It is rather dry and a bit of an acquired taste.
