Can you make thai food without coconut milk?

I love thai food but have never cooked it. it seems many of the recipes require coconut milk. Just wondering if there is a substitute for that that i might be able to use so i dont have to go out and get groceries. provide a recipe if you have something simple. thanks much!Can you make thai food without coconut milk?

Sure you can substitute cows milk for coconut milk. I am Asian %26amp; in my country coconut is the most widely used cooking ingredient. ( I am not Indian) After I migrated it was hard to find coconut in the US so i cook all my native food using skimmed milk.
