You can buy a large bag of thai tea in an asian grocery store. It is very distinctive in flavor.

I boil the loose tea about 2 tbsp per cup of water then strain and sweeten with lot and lots of sugar. Refrigerate. Serve over lots of ice with a splash of evaporated milk. This is an intensely sweet tea that I only make cold.Whats the Recipe for Thai Iced Tea, Thai Jasmine Tea, and Bubble Tea?
Thai Iced Tea

Ingredients

6 cups water

1 cup Thai tea

3/4 cup sugar

6 tablespoons cream

6 tablespoons condensed milk

Directions

In a kettle, bring the water to a boil. Place the tea in a teapot or glass container. Pour the water over the tea and let steep until bright orange in color, 3 to 5 minutes. Strain into a clean container, such as a pitcher (or, if in tea bags, remove the bags). Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Let cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Fill 6 tall glasses with crushed ice and add tea to 3/4 full. Add 1 tablespoon cream and 1 tablespoon condensed milk to each glass.

Serve with iced-tea spoon so guests can swirl the mixture themselves.

Thai Jasmine Tea

Instructions

Step 1Purchase jasmine tea from your nearest health food store or Asian grocer. This is recommend, since it is quite time consuming to make it by yourself, although it is certainly possible (see step 5 for specific instructions on making it yourself).

Step 2In general, loose tea is better than teabags, since you avoid the harmful glue used to seal many teabags, plus loose tea is generally fresher and less likely to be stale.

You want to use water that is nearly boiling, never lukewarm. Water should be at least 170F/80C. Hot water helps to release healthy polyphenols from the tea, but water that is too hot is thought to cause bitterness.

Add roughly 1 teaspoon of loose tea leaves per teapot (roughly 3-5 cups of tea).

Tea should be steeped for one to five minutes. The polyphenol content of the tea will increase with greater steeping time, but more than 5 minutes can result in bitter tea. Many believe that green tea tastes ideal when brewed for just one minute.

Optionally strain the tea, pour into warmed teacups, and sip gently while the tea is still hot.

Step 3If you want hot jasmine tea, in teabag form, you want to use water that is nearly boiling and never lukewarm. Water should be at least 170F/80C. Hot water helps to release healthy polyphenols from the tea, but water that is too hot is thought to cause bitterness.

Add roughly 3 to 5 cups of water per teabag. This may be made in a teapot or over the stovetop.

If using a tea bag, you should dunk it continuously rather than letting it sit. This increases the polyphenol content.

Tea should be steeped for one to five minutes. The polyphenol content of the tea will increase with greater steeping time, but more than 5 minutes can result in bitter tea. Many believe that green tea tastes ideal when brewed for just one minute.

Remove the tea bag, serve in warmed cups, and sip gently while the tea is still hot.

Step 4You can serve jasmine tea as iced tea!

Never drink jasmine tea that has been made the day before. This will result in bitter tea.

If you wish to make iced jasmine tea, instead you should double the quantity of tea (so use 2 teaspoons OR 2 teabags per 3 to 5 cups of water), and allow to infuse into the cold water for roughly 45 minutes to one hour.

Step 5You can make your own jasmine tea.

If you wish to make jasmine tea yourself, first buy good quality green or oolong tea leaves to use as a base. Next, have plenty of jasmine blossoms on hand. You will need a supply of fresh blossoms, not dried flowers.

In the evening, when the jasmine blossoms are open, spread a layer of jasmine flowers along your green tea leaves. Leave these to impart their scent, and then remove the flower blossoms after 4 hours.

Repeat this every night for 7 days in order to achieve the best effect.

Brew this tea the same way you would ordinary green tea leaves (see step 2).

Classic Bubble Tea Recipe - How To Make Bubble Tea
