I need a substitute for fresh mint in a Thai guacamole recipe.?

I have NO mint.I need a substitute for fresh mint in a Thai guacamole recipe.?
If you have no fresh mint, can you get dried mint leaves? If not, I would just leave it out entirely. The cilantro will give it a completely different flavor than what the recipe wants it to be. Just as a suggestion, why don't you grow your own mint? It is easy to grow. It likes a spot that stays damp; like beneath an outdoor water faucet.
how do you make the Thai guacamoleI need a substitute for fresh mint in a Thai guacamole recipe.?
You could use a bit of basil or cilantro, although the flavor will not be the same.
Cilantro would be your best bet. Could you post what the other ingredients are so we can have a better idea of what would make a good substitution?I need a substitute for fresh mint in a Thai guacamole recipe.?
Fresh basil is good.

Catnip is also from the same family as mint, and some people do cook with it...

Just a thought
